VAN ZANDT COUNTY Texas KLTV - Texas Rangers are investigating a deputy-involved shooting death in Van Zandt County. 8 deputies responded to an active shooting situationdomestic disturbance on Van Zandt County Road 2704 in the Mabank area of rural Van Zandt County. A pursuit that started in Grand Prairie went through Kaufman County and entered into Van Zandt County saw the suspect reaching speeds of up to 95 mph.
According to the Van Zandt County Sheriffs Office at around 325 am.
Sheriff Steve Hendrix said the 38-year-old woman was shot after firing a gun toward deputies after repeated commands to stop. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety around 415 am officials responded to the scene of an officer-involved shooting at Exit 533 off Interstate 20 in Van Zandt County. They did not identify the victim. That left two people injured.
